Liubomyr Medvid'
Born in Variazh near Sokal' 10 July 1941.
In 1946 moved to Ukraine.
In 1965 graduated from the Lviv State institute of applied and
decorative
art where later on worked as a teacher of painting (1966-1970) and still
later (1970-1988) creative activity became his only occupation. Since 1988
has been working at the Lviv Academy of arts.
Professor.
Personal exhibitions in Lviv (1972, 1987, 1990), Toronto (1990), New
York
(1991), took part in group exhibitions in New York, Krakow, together with
O.Min'ko and Z.Flinta showed his works in Kyiv, Vilnius, Moscow. His
paintings enrich many museum collections.(Kyiv Museum of Ukrainian Arts,
Picture Galleries in Lviv, Khmelnytsk, Zaporizhzhia, National Museum in
Lviv). Numerous private connoisseurs have his works in their collections
(Ken Siegel, Lenart Andrew, Wzhesnievski)
